She is currently a presenter for The BBC Travel Show, which is watched by over 71 million international viewers.
In addition to being a featured expert on most major media outlets (BBC, ITV, Ch.4, Ch. 5, TalkRadio, The Guardian, The Metro, etc.) Kim has also written monthly columns for The Telegraph, Talk Business Magazine, and The Inside Connection as a music, travel, and business journalist.
In 2004, Kim moved from New York to London and started Sarsaparilla Ltd. Here she helps Fortune 500 companies increase their profits and performance by over 600% through advanced marketing, media, communications, and other high-performance leadership strategies. Clients include the leaders of the world’s most iconic brands, such as Harper Collins, GoDaddy, Bayer, and BNP Paribas.
As an international speaker, Kim has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages, from New York’s Carnegie Hall to London’s O2 Arena. Her 2022 TED Talk on “How The Arts Can Help You Achieve Anything” has been widely acclaimed and she is often called “One Of The Greatest Speakers”.
Kim is equally comfortable entertaining 25,000 people in an arena, as she is in front of a small boardroom of directors. Unlike other speakers, she is professionally trained in the performing arts, has fantastic comic delivery, and keeps her talks full of energy by interacting and improvising with her audience. Not only does this make Kim the ideal choice for any event, it also makes her that rare talent that can deliver an unforgettable experience that feels more like a show, rather than a lecture.
Kim’s mission is simple: To give your people the tools, confidence, and inspiration they need to become great leaders, collaborators, and innovators, all while injecting a healthy dose of fun!
Originally from New York, Kim started training to become a classical performer when she was just 5 years old, and was lucky enough to perform at Disney World, New Orleans Jazz Festival, and other prestigious venues throughout her teenage years.
At the age of 15, she fell in love with journalism and began interviewing celebrity icons, including tennis legend, Andre Agassi, for her local newspaper.
Kim’s talents eventually caught the eye of television and radio pioneer, Martin Stone – creator of The Howdy Doody Show, who gave her the opportunity to become the host of her own classical music radio show when she was just 18.
By the age of 22, Kim had graduated with multiple Bachelor of The Arts degrees (Business, Music, & Theatre); become the youngest person to teach at a prestigious New York University (“Writing For Mass Media”); pioneered The Music Business Conference, and had become the Morning Show Producer for a Market 1 radio station in New York City.
Kim’s media career skyrocketed and she went on to become a producer, writer, on-air presenter, and voice over artist for some of the largest TV & radio stations in the US.
It wasn’t long before she was promoted to Marketing Director and went on to work for corporate giants, such as Avon and MasterCard, where she had the opportunity to work on the award-winning “Priceless” campaigns.
In 2004, Kim moved to London and launched her own consulting and training agency (Sarsaparilla Ltd.), where she continues to advise business leaders on marketing, media, communications, and other high-performance leadership strategies.
Her innovative methods incorporate business with The Arts and are proven to increase results by up to 600%. In fact, Kim’s techniques drastically outperform most traditional forms of learning and development, and have been praised by industry experts such as Mary Portas (“Queen of Shops”), Robert Senior (CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi) and Nikki Crumpton (CSO, McCann Erickson).
